Across the pond, in the UK, Disability Now has launched a new "hate crime campaign" to raise awareness about crimes against people with disabilities.
Why? Because all too often crimes against people with disabilities go unnoticed. And that makes folks mad, just like Dave. And we know this happens everywhere, every day.
So now there's The Hate Crime Dossier, a blog featured on Disability Now which lists specific cases of violence against people with disabilities.
Why? Because Dave got it right when he said
"No more silence.
No more letting them think that we don't care when one of our own is beaten to death and left to die on the side of the street."
Disability Now is the only monthly magazine written for disabled people by disabled people. It is the authoritative source of information on all aspects of life, from news and campaigns to politics, the arts, health, travel and sport.
